Spain
The third largest wine producer in the world strangely doesn’t get the same attention as French, Italian and US wines, but it’s diverse microclimates allow for wonderful wines across the entire country. Sure, Rioja’s Tempranillo’s are exceptional, but so is the Albarino in the greener Northwest, the Tempranillo variation Tinta de Toro in the Midwest and Grenache and Mourvedre in Priorat. The results are a slue of 100 point scores and critical adulation across all of Spain, making it a country whose wines are perfect for any event and occasion.
