Deep garnet in color, the 2010 Marquis de Terme offers up pronounced plum preserves, warm cassis and baked blackberries scents plus hints of smoked meats, garrigue and dried Provence herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is dominated by a structure of racy acidity and firm, grainy tannins, finishing a little edgy.

92 pts James Suckling

A wine with dried meats and berries on the nose and palate. Full body, beautiful fine tannins and a juicy finish finish. Chewy tannins.

92 pts Wine Spectator

This is alluring, with the sappy feel of the kirsch, dark plum and loganberry fruit melded nicely to a charcoal spine. The long, smoldering finish reveals a singed iron note and features good grip. Should evolve nicely. Best from 2015 through 2030.

(88-90) pts Vinous

Inky purple-ruby. Very deep, rich, slightly roasted aromas of red cherry, truffle, cocoa and coffee. Then lighter and fresher on the palate, showing bright red berry, herbal and balsamic flavors. Finishes with substantial fine tannins and a liqueur-like creaminess of texture. This should offer early accessibility.
