The 2014 Greysac has an upfront bouquet with brambly red fruit, oxtail and cigar box scents. The palate is medium-bodied with sweet black fruit, black pepper and spice, leading to a conservative finish that just lacks a little persistence. Not bad overall, but it doesn't exactly light up the vinous sky with pyrotechnics. Tasted September 2016.

90 pts James Suckling

Maybe this isn’t the most powerful of the unclassified 2014 Medoc wines, but it has excellent balance and the classic cassis and herbal aromas you expect from this appellation. Drink now.

Vinous

The 2014 Greysac is an absolutely delicious Cru Bourgeois to drink now and over the next few years. Smoke, licorice and tobacco give the wine its distinctive savory personality. One of the sleepers of the vintage, the Greysac has turned out very nicely.

Wine Spectator

This offers a forward mix of red currant and blood orange notes, with light herb and tobacco accents. Gentle cedary details hold the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2018. 30,000 cases made.
