"Tentation" is 100% Gamay made from a selection of old vines hand-harvested and farmed organically on granitic soil. Think violets, blueberries, red and black currants, balanced by a captivating rocky core. This is a bright, fresh, slurpable wine!

A Gamay for Everyday

Beaujolais lovers, take note! The next time you feel like reaching for a delightfully fresh Beaujolais, try looking instead to the easternmost reaches of the Loire Valley in the Cote Roannaise. Named after the commune of Roanne, the Francophile foodie obsessed may recognize the name thanks to the three star Michelin restaurant, La Maison Troisgros. If it’s all new to you, let’s get introduced:  situated some 50 miles northwest of Beaujolais the terrain here shares similar characteristics, namely sandy and granite soils, although the Cote Roannaise has the surprise element of volcanic soils rich in basalt. The vineyards here are a touch higher in elevation than Beaujolais, which means Gamay grapes ripen later and get extra time on the vine to create very aromatic, spectacularly juicy wines. "Tentation" is 100% Gamay made from a selection of old vines and farmed organically on granite soil.  It has aromas of wet violet leaf, plump blueberries and red and black currant, balanced by a captivating rocky core.  It is bright and fresh, with low tannins and a succulent texture. Vincent Giraudon comes from a long line of cooks and sommeliers and crafts his wines with food in mind. Apart from harvest season, you’ll likely find him in the kitchen rather than in his vines. When you put this wine at the dinner table, it’s sure to be a hit with whatever you’re serving.
