Chateau d'Aussieres has made wine since the Roman era and it is part of the Domaines Baron de Rothschild (Lafite) wine portfolio. This well-structured red from the southwestern mountainous region of Corbi'res in Languedoc-Roussillon shows some wonderful rich aromas and flavors of dark cherries, plums and hints of spices. A French red blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourv'dre and Carignan, it also nicely captures the earthiness of its origins.
