Burgundy

Burgundy

For more than two-thousand years, Burgundy has been crafting wines of such elegance that even Shakespeare references them in his play, King Lear.  It is home to more soil-specific classifications than anywhere else in France, highlighting how small deviations in limestone and clay soil composition can produce significant flavor variations in its wines. Maybe not surprisingly then, the Cote d'Or, and not Bordeaux, has received more 100 point wine scores from Robert Parker, making it one of our favorite wine regions to share with our customers.
