Bodegas Chacra Chardonnay ''Mainque'' (Patagonia) 2019 is available to buy in increments of 1

Chardonnay made by Meursault's most esteemed winemaker, Jean-Marc Roulot. Mainqué Chardonnay is fermented in 25-30% new barrels (the same barrels Jean-Marc Roulot uses in Meursault).
The farming is biodynamic and organic.
In 2004, Piero Incisa della Rocchetta (scion of the aristocratic winemaking family behind Tuscany's groundbreaking Sassicaia) purchased the first of Bodega Chacra's vineyards, a property with an existing, though abandoned, vineyard planted in 1932.
The soil of the Rio Negro Valley, an ancient riverbed composed of limestone, sand and clay, coupled with the Valley's pristine pollution-free air and tremendous luminosity, make ideal conditions for growing wine.

96 pts James Suckling

Shows aromas and flavors of stones, sliced apples and pears with citrus and lemons. Honeysuckle and minerally undertones. Medium-to full-bodied, layered and deep. Round yet tight on the palate. Crunchy flavors. Drink or hold.
