Domaine-Fournier-Sancerre-Les-Belles-Vignes-2016

Domaine Fournier, Sancerre Les Belles Vignes, 2017

The 2017 vintage was a year of contrasts. As winter drew to a close with temperatures worthy of late spring, nature snowballed ahead. The vines continued to reach each milestone early, right up until harvest. September arrived – and so, suddenly, did autumn. Temperatures fell, bringing a return to normal conditions and the Domaine was given the chance to wait for the fruit to reach optimum ripeness. The result is a lush, elegant vintage ready to be enjoyed immediately.

“A fresh balance of apple and citrus flavors, with hints of almonds and lively acidity. An immediately attractive wine, it is ready to drink.” – Roger Voss (Wine Enthusiast)

“A soft white, with nectarine and durian fruit at the core, backed by a vivid structure. Subtle at first, but opens up and lingers. Drink now through 2022.” – James Molesworth (Wine Spectator)
