San-Michele-Poggio-LApparita-Rosso-Tuscany-2009

San Michele, Poggio L'Apparita Rosso (Tuscany), 2009

San Michele Poggio L’Aparita Rosso 2009 is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Suavignon that was harvested by hand and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels with an additional 18 months in bottle before release. Founded in 1978, L’Apparita is a farm in the countryside of Tuscany on historic property protected by the Environmental Heritage of the provinces of Siena and Grosseto. The Vineyard’s unique terroir – sandy loam soil rich in calcium, potassium and magnesium and approximately 100 meters above sea level – creates a Tuscan red that is elegant and altogether original.
