Maison-Champy-Echezeaux-Grand-Cru-2011

Maison Champy, Echezeaux Grand Cru, 2011

“A pungent and notably ripe nose of toasty wood, natural spice, black cherry and dark berry fruit aromas introduces exceptionally suave, indeed lavish medium-bodied flavors that possess a wonderfully seductive mouth feel, all wrapped in a solidly intense, balanced and impressively long finish. There is so much mid-palate sap that this is one of the upper echelon wines that should be reasonably approachable young. I would also note that if you’re oak averse that this is probably not a good choice because while it does not imbalance the wine it certainly marks it.”
