Also a knockout, the 2012 Vacqueyras Chateau Lestours Clocher checks in as a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, all from old vines, that’s aged in second fill barrels. Exhibiting loads of cassis, black raspberry, licorice and toasted spice, it is medium to full-bodied, rich, textured and elegant on the palate. The purity of the vintage really shows here and this beauty will have 10-12 years of longevity. It should be a smoking value.
