White Sancerre is a dry, fruity wine, made from Sauvignon Blanc, harvested from limestone-clay soils. On the nose it shows superb aromas of citrus fruits, allied to a touch of minerality. Serve at 10°, it is ideal with fish, shellfish, sea food, goat's cheese, or simply as an aperitif.
Color: pale yellow with brilliant highlights
Tasting note: A very aromatic nose (exotica and citrus fruits…). In the mouth it is dry, focused, with a touch of minerality.
Winery Notes

Sancerre for Summer

Isn’t it true that Sancerre is synonymous with summer? After all, who doesn’t love the expression of Sauvignon Blanc when grown on limestone soil?  Balanced with mineral and fruit qualities, perfect on its own or with goat cheese or seafood, it really does corner the market for our summertime cuisine pairings. And here’s a bonus – Sancerre is one of the few wines that goes well with asparagus and artichokes! This selection from Jean Paul Picard is classically styled and is a great recommendation for anyone who likes a crisp, dry white with plenty of herbal qualities. You’ll find loads of lemon citrus, followed by verdant notes of fresh cut grass and Sancerre’s hallmark wet-stone minerality. Feeling parched yet? Well then, we have the right wine for you!
