The François Carillon Domaine, created in 2010, is the long-lasting legacy of a wine family business that dates back to the 16th century in Puligny-Montrachet, a very typical wine village in the south of the Côte de Beaune - Burgundy’s most renown terroir for white wines. Located in the heart of the village, the estate today owns and manages a sixteen-hectare-vineyard located in Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. The estate produces about seventeen (depending on the harvests) different appellations, mainly in Chardonnay. Between passion and precision, the ambition of the François Carillon Domaine is to produce fine, elegant and gourmet wines, representative of the exceptional terroirs from which they come. This white Burgundy comes from 3 plots with clay-limestone soil and located in Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. Crunchy and with a nice acidity, this brilliant wine offers aromas of lime, pear and peaches.
Age of the vines: from 33 to 59 years
Soils: Clays and limestones
Worked in oak barrels from the harvest and for almost a year, slightly brewed, this wine is assembled and bottled about 16 months after the harvest.
Tasting Note: Golden, shiny dress. Rich and fresh aromas of yellow peaches, on a mineral-iodized background. Mouth full of fruit, juicy, delicious, with a fresh finish.
