It all started in the early twentieth century, when Joseph Pascal Morvan came from the town of Puligny-Montrachet to cultivate the land. He married a local girl and from this union Jean Pascal was born and eventually came to work with his parents in 1975. Together they developed the Domaine to 15 hectares of vineyards spread over 4 towns (Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay and Auxey-Duresses). A single vineyard village wine with Premier Cru quality, this wine is pure in its Puligny Montrachet character. Plenty of green apple acidity, flavors of honey, hazelnuts, ripe peach and toasty spice. A judicious use of oak let’s the elegant fruit character and clean fresh aromas shine.
Winery Notes

The Insider's Favorite Single Vineyard

If you don’t know the single vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet “Les Enseignères” then let us introduce you the proper way, with a remarkable producer and a great price. Located in prime real estate, it is just below the Grand Cru vineyard, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet which itself is located next to another Grand Cru, Bâtard-Montrachet. Even though it is a village wine, you can think of it as Premier Cru quality. It has all the characteristics of Puligny-Montrachet that keeps Burgundy lovers coming back again and again. Bright golden in color, with aromas of white flower blossoms, marzipan, hazelnuts, green apples and Puligny’s trademark citrus acidity. A judicious use of oak lets the elegant fruit character and clean, fresh aromas shine.
