2 Masters is the brainchild of Hernan Parra, master distiller at Columbia-based Dictador rum. His idea was both novel and outrageous. Find 6 master distillers or winemakers around the world - star producers of Scotch, Cognac, Armagnac, Champagne, Sauternes and Bordeaux - send them barrels of 37-45 year old aged rum and give them just 1 instruction: finish the rum in any barrel or vessel of their choosing, putting their stamp on a rum only 2 masters could produce.
HARDY SPRING BLEND Dictador rum single vintage casks 1975 and 1977 finished in American Oak and then shipped to Hardy in Cognac, where it was further carefully blended by Master Bouilly who used his Limousin oak cask from 1969 for the process. The rum spent 13 months in Cognac cask and due to the taste profile was called Printemps which means Spring. Bottled at 42,1 % ABV.
