Bright, crisp aromas and flavors of ripe apple, melon and citrus enchant in this pleasing Chardonnay that is both balanced and elegant. The palate has an underlying mineral edge and whispers of vanilla and butterscotch that leave a lasting impression.

Our Best Village Value

Fans of the Chardonnay grape will find a lot to love in this charming and affordable bottling by Philippe Colin – a steal under $20 from one of Burgundy’s up and coming winemakers. Domaine Philippe Colin was established in 2004 and has vineyard holdings around the village of Chassagne-Montrachet. Home to Grand Cru, Premier Cru and village level offerings, the white wines of Chassagne Montrachet are sought after for their purity of fruit, minerally undertones and racy acidity. Under the hand of Philippe Colin, this village wine is an excellent primer to understanding what Chassagne Montrachet is all about (and if you’re already a fan, then you know how delicious they are!) Taught with tension, it boasts loads of apple, melon and citrus fruit, with a nice dose of mineral attributes and a whisper of vanilla oak. Autumn is an excellent time to indulge in rich sauces, creamy risotto and game  – you’ll do well to have this wine on hand as a one-size-fits-all approach to Fall pairings. If your dish calls for red, then serve this as an aperitif with camembert cheese, candied nuts and fresh baked bread. It truly is our best village value!
