Absolute Cha-Bliss!

If you’re looking for a Chablis with real power, then look no further! Thanks to the vieilles vignes, old vines that were planted back in 1905, this wine has tremendous richness and complexity. Château de Maligny is owned by the Durup family who have resided in the village of Maligny since the 15th century. Owners of approximately 100 hectares in Chablis, owner Jean Durup holds the largest estate in the appellation. Generous and fleshy, it is loaded with flavors of peach, melon and apricot, mineral nuance, racy acidity and not a bit of oak. The 2018 vintage brought to Chablis a lot of ripeness, which is somewhat unusual but a welcome addition to this mineral-driven charmer. It’s downright delicious, easy to understand and endlessly fascinating. Pair this with oysters, shellfish or anything from the sea and you’ll find yourself in a state of absolute Cha-bliss!
