Bouchard Père & Fils has been producing the Beaune du Château cuvée, an exclusivity of the House, since 1907. This wine which is a blend of several Premier Cru vineyards, vinified separately, demonstrates the different facets of the terroir of Beaune. White Beaune du Château comes from 4 parcels of Beaune Premier Cru chosen for their complementary qualities: Aigrots, Tuvilains, Sizies and Sur les Grèves. The grapes from each "climat" are vinified separately before blending, in order to preserve the character of each "terrroir".
Tasting Notes:Pale gold/ gold color with green shades. The nose is made of white flesh fruit, candied citrus aromas with a hint of brioche and ginger bread. The mouth associates richness, subtle oak, taste of dried fruit. Pleasantly rich wine. From the producers web site. -Producer's Notes

92 pts Decanter

Part of the Bouchard range since 1907, this wine features 17 of the extensive lineup of Beaune premiers crus, grown on a mixture of soil types. Part of Frédéric Weber's skill lies in the blending of all these different cuvées to produce a wine that's textured, floral and sweet, with subtle reduction, some whole-bunch spice and a backdrop of 35% new wood.

90 pts James Suckling

Peaches on the nose with an edge of spiced toffee. The palate has a very plush and fleshy feel with plenty of fruit delivered into the finish.
