Brown-Rouge-Pessac-Leognan-2012

Cht. Brown Rouge, (Pessac-Leognan), 2012

“Another successful wine for this vintage, Chateau Brown’s 2012 is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot. The wine shows serious power, dense color and lots of red and black fruits, some smoke and earth, burning embers and a spicy, medium-bodied finish. Drink it over the next 12-16 years.” —Robert Parker

Coufran-Haut-Medoc-2009

Coufran, Haut-Medoc, 2009

“Soft and fruity with milk chocolate. Full and round textured. Goes on for a minute or two. Excellent for the vintage. Better than I remember. And better in 2014, but why wait?” —James Suckling, 92 pts.

de Sales, (Pomerol), 2014

“The wines of Chateau de Sales possess the characteristics of their terroir: fruitiness, suppleness, roundness, fleshiness, good structure on the palate and for these qualities they are amongst the finest wines of the Pomerol appellation.” -Wine Maker’s Notes

Three-de-Valandraud-St-Emilion-Third-Wine-of-Valandraud-2012

3 de Valandraud, (St. Emilion) Third Wine of Valandraud, 2012

In 1989, Jean-Luc Thunevin and his wife, Murielle Andraud, acquired a small parcel of 0.6 hectare in the valley of St Emilion, between Pavie-Macquin and La Clotte. And in 1991 the adventure of Valandraud began. Since then they acquired more properties in famous locations such as Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens and Saint-Etienne de Lisse. 3 de Valandraud is the third wine (declassified fruit) of Thunevin’s famous Valandraud and Virginie de Valandraud. The wine is very representative of Thunevin’s signature style: lush and opulent forward fruit, with a silken, smooth tannic structure.

“The 2012 3 de Valandraud is a soft, juicy wine to drink now and over the next few years. Tobacco, cedar and grilled herbs add nuance on the mid-weight finish. The 3 de Valandraud is essentially the third wine of Valandraud.”

Tour-de-Pez-St-Estephe-2012

Tour de Pez, (St. Estephe) , 2012

“The small area of Pez is one of the top sites in Saint-Estèphe, with many highly rated chateaus. This is one. New wood aging shows strongly at this stage, although so does the fruit. That gives a structured wine, firm and also full of blackberry fruit flavors. The future is good for this wine, so drink from 2018.” (90 pts) -The Wine Enthusiast

La-Vieille-France-Cuvee-Marie-Graves-Rouge-2008

La Vieille France, ''Cuvee Marie'' (Graves) Rouge , 2008

A wonderful expression of the earthy Graves area of Bordeaux. The vintage 2008 was especially strong here and this red—made from the Dugoua family estate—an estate owned by the family since 1610—represents a terrific value for a very nice Graves with some bottle age.
