Château d’Aussières has made wine since the Roman era and it is now part of the Domaines Baron de Rothschild (Lafite) wine portfolio. The “A” d’Aussieres is a special label just for Sherry-Lehmann! It is a blend of the four classic Languedoc varietals—Syrah, Grenache, Mouvedre, and Carignan. Rich, spicy and structured, with that unmistakable character of the beautiful, wild and mountainous countryside of the South of France!

The wines of Vina Aquitania are a result of the combined efforts of Paul Pontallier, the winemaker of Chateau Margaux, Bruno Prats, the former owner of Chateau Cos d’Estournel, Ghislain de Montgolfier, the owner of Bollinger Champagne, and the great Chilean oenologist, Felipe de Solminihac. These “Four Musketeers” are producing wines of high quality and incredible expression.

The Maligny “Old Vines” is always good value but more that that, it is a perfect entry into the grand world of “real Chablis from France” Chablis. The Chardonnay reflects the chalk and minerality of the soils unique to this part of Northwestern Burgundy.

This second wine of Chateau Pape Clement is hard to find and represents a great opportunity to taste the skill and vision that Bernard Magrez is putting into this historic estate.

The wine is a beautiful light pink color, infused with aromas of fresh wild strawberries, red fruits and white peach. There is a lemony minerality with a hint of spice and white flowers which is a perfect balance to the silky rich texture. This delicious bottle is the perfect spring/summer wine to be enjoyed with food, or a delicious glass by itself.

Wine bas been produced at Chateau Margui since Roman times. These days the owners, Marie-Christine and Philippe Guillanton, both feel that vineyards (and olive groves) are essential to bringing this beautiful estate back to life.
