    <description>&lt;p&gt;Stonecrop&lt;br /&gt;
Stonecrop&amp;#8217;s 20 acre family-owned and -operated vineyard is  on the renowned Dry River Road, 6 kilometers south of the village of Martinborough. Situated in the South East of New Zealand&amp;#8217;s North Island, Martinborough has a deserved reputation as one of the finest wine producing regions in New Zealand. At Stonecrop the family is committed to preserving the natural resources of its vineyard: the vines are grown using sustainable winegrowing practices at the base of a rugged mountain range on the edge of an ancient river bed in stony silt loam soil. The combination of low rainfall, hot summers and a long dry ripening season create the perfect conditions for growing Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.&lt;br /&gt;
The owners, Andrew Harris and his wife Sally Richardson purchased 20 acres of farmland in 2002 and the first vines were planted in 2003. Andrew, a native New Zealander has long held a passion for Martinborough wines and has the support of a dedicated team including his parents who have a hands-on role running the vineyard. With the expertise provided by one of Martinborough&amp;#8217;s most respected viticulturists and an internationally renowned winemaker, Stonecrop&amp;#8217;s first vintage was produced in 2006.&lt;br /&gt;
The name Stonecrop represents the location of the vineyard  on the edge of an ancient river bed. As the river changed its course during geological upheavals, blocks of greywacke, a grey sandstone, were deposited creating a river of gravel and stones.&lt;br /&gt;
Andrew and Sally live on the tip of Long Island in Montauk, New York.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description>&lt;p&gt;On Thursday, March 18th, 2010 join Sherry-Lehmann the 1st Annual Ch&#226;teau Cos d&amp;#8217;Estournel Wine Dinner at Eleven Madison Park (New York Times Four Stars) featuring the dazzling cuisine of Chef Daniel Humm. We will be welcoming Guest of Honor Jean-Guillaume Prats, &lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;CEO&lt;/span&gt;, the person responsible for the vineyards and wine of this exceptional 2nd Growth Grand Cru Class&#233;, Saint-Est&#233;phe, Bordeaux.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Mr. Prats is one of the most compelling young professionals to manage arguably one of the most historic and top wine estates in the world. His goal is to come as close as possible to making wine on the same qualitative level as the Bordeax 1st Growth Ch&#226;teaux. The Ch&#226;teau, which resembles an Asian pagoda, sits on a knoll looking down at its famous neighbor, Ch&#226;teau Lafite Rothschild. He represents the fourth generation of his family to be involved in the management of the estate. He is one of the leaders of the &#8216;new guard&#8217; in Bordeaux.&lt;/p&gt;

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico &lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;DOC&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Bertani&amp;#8217;s Amarone Classico is the best known in the Verona area: a wine whose production method took more than fifty years of research to perfect, in the unique style that Bertani has always striven to preserve. It is made from the Corvina and Rondinella grapes that grow on the slopes around Villa Novare in the Valpolicella Classica area. Produced by Bertani going back to 1958, Amarone Classico Bertani uses a natural &lt;em&gt;appassimento&lt;/em&gt; (semi-drying process) of the grapes on the &lt;em&gt;arele&lt;/em&gt; (cane mats) and the ageing in large casks for at least six years give this wine a stable and long-lasting structure, making it one of the longest-lived wines in the world.&lt;/p&gt;

Amarone Villa Arvedi&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Villa Arvedi Amarone is born on the hillsides of the Valpantena, the only cru denomination in the whole Valpolicella area. Villa Arvedi is another example of Bertani&#8217;s traditional dedication to producing Amarone: This modern and well balanced Amarone which is nonetheless authentic and rich in body. New fermentation and drying techniques give this wine an elegant balance of exuberant fruity notes. It has a rich blackberry flavor, a minty scent, a sweet cherry taste and the spicy hints that are typical of this valley.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
