Our “House White” and a best seller for generations, this crisp, sprightly white from the Loire, France is a crowd-pleaser;
It’s dry but [nicely] fruity, quite light, with a slight tingle on the palate. Sauvion manages to capture this clean, lilting freshness year after year; I guess that’s why he’s known as the wine wizard of the Loire. Barbara Ensrud

"“2007 BRUNELLI DI MONTALCINO ARE SUPERLATIVE QUALITY” – JAMES SUCKLING
Dried strawberry and flowers, with hints of vanilla cream aromas follow through to a full body with ripe, silky tannins and a pretty berry aftertaste. The balance and finesse to this wine is beautiful"
The 2009 vintage was a great vintage in Bordeaux, and shows in this outstanding Lafite Reserve which expresses voluptuous flavors of blueberry, blackcurrant leaf along with aromas of spices and liquorice. On the palate it is full-bodied and flavorful with silky, well integrated tannins, powerful aromas and a fresh, spicy finish. A rich, full wine offering tremendous value. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. No wonder it is our best selling red wine.
“In short, 2009 is the greatest vintage I have tasted in Bordeaux since 1982, of which it is a modern-day version, but greatly improved.” *Robert Parker -The Wine Advocate *

N.Y Times’ Tasting Report: “Millions of Italians Can’t Be Wrong.” Best Value: Zardetto Conegliano
There is nothing like the ripe dark fruit flavors and pepper aromas of an Australia Shiraz when you want something to pair with BBQ, or a nice steak. And the Mathilda comes from one of the greatest producers from the Northern Rhone in France, Chapoutier. If you are looking for all the generous fruit that Australia wines have to offer with the elegant structure of a French pedigree, then this unbelievable value is for you.
“These Chapoutier wines are sometimes reviewed by my colleagues David Schildknect in his Languedoc-Roussillon report and Lisa Perrotti-Brown in her reviews of Australian wines, so I will just list the wines, my score, and the region from which they emerge. They are of very high quality and deserve readers’ attention. Hopefully my prose has convinced more than a handful of readers to try these remarkable wines from one of the most fascinating and compelling personalities in the entire wine world, and one dedicated to the highest quality.” Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate (91 pts)

This estate in St.-Emilion, which is known for producing some of the greatest blends of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, is always a dependable pick for an elegant French red with complexity of licorice, garrigue, spice box, and sweet red and black currant fruit. This 2001 is ready to drink now with soft tannins and generous flavors.
The famed Chateau Simard, whose name dates back from the Counts of Simard, an important family of Saint Emilion during the 16th century, consists of a vineyard of 85 acres of south facing, sandy, gravelly soils. This St.-Emilion producer has become one of our house favorites due to the fact that the chateau always holds back large stocks of wine from the best vintages and then releases them several years later when the wine is mature. Chateau Simard is now owned by Chateau Ausone’s proprietor, Alain Vauthier, which makes Simard the sibling of the great estate of Chateau Ausone.
One of the most famous Champagnes in the world. The well known “yellow label” represents quality to so many people. The layers of citrus and minerality from the Chardonnay, brambly berry from the Pinot Meunier, and the refine full structure from the Pinot Noir, which is the dominant variety in this blend, makes this an outstanding Non-Vintage Champagne.
“A fine example of a dry, sophisticated brut, this is an elegant style of Champagne whose understated apple and butter flavors are well balanced by crisp acidity.” Wine Spectator
