Asyrtiko is the main white grape of Santorini (one of the Greek Cyclades Islands in the South Aegean) and has a character similar to a light Sauvignon Blanc. Light yellow color with green highlights citrus flavors, and a lemon intensity, particular of the grape variety. Excellent structure, good acidity which brings out the flavors, pleasant on the finish.

Boutari Moschofilero is a premium white wine made from 100% Moschofilero grapes grown in high elevation vineyards in the region of Mantinia in the Peloponnese. A well-balanced fresh wine, with intense flavor and long aromatic aftertaste (orange blossom, grapefruit).

This is a lovely dry white blended from 2 grape varieties, both ancient and native to the islands of the Aegean, in this case, Santorini. Although not related, they are in the sauvignon blanc family tastewise. You will find some grapefruit and lemon aromas and flavors. If possible, find a slice or two of spanakotiropita (cheese and spinach pie.)
