A splendid Fine Champagne Cognac, bottled especially for Sherry-Lehmann by renowned Cognac producer Marcel Ragnaud. Its grapes were grown on Ragnaud’s own hillside vineyards, pressed in his cellars and distilled in his own pot still, before being put into the finest oak casks for aging. As a result, Single Cask Unblended Fine Champagne Cognac is Cognac at its best!

Exception represents the top-of-the-line of the regular Audry offerings, with only the very finest stocks going into the final blend. Conceived with the same philosophy as the Mémorial, Exception uses even older stocks, some dating back as far as 1914. With this exceptional Cognac, Audry marries strength and power with subtlety and finesse in perfect harmony.

Since its establishment in 1878 Audry has specialized in the elevage and sale of very old cognacs of the finest quality. In 1984 the firm released "Le Memorial, their first great blend since re-opening after World War II. The success of this superb cognac was overwhelming and now this cognac, along with other Audry rarities, is served by many of Europe’s most highly esteemed chefs; masters such as Joel Robuchon, Alain Ducasses and Troisgros Freres. Ageing took place in barrels previously used for very old Cognac. The bouquet is enticing, but unagressive, with subtle, well-aged aromas and hints of vanilla and cinnamon. The wood is understated and well-integrated.
The palate corresponds to the bouquet and the fruitiness of the Grande and Petite Champagne regions. The taste is altogether elegant and subtle. The aftertaste is beautifully long as befits such an old Cognac.

Created at the beginning of the 20th century to celebrate the relationships between the COURVOISIER family and those of Napoleon I & III. COURVOISIER® Napoleon has become the benchmark against which other cognacs are measured and it is classically traditional. The Master Blender’s tasting notes: A delicate and subtle bouquet with hints of cigar box, prune, liquorice hazelnut, old port wine, ginger bead and orange blossom. Full bodied and mellow, tender and stylish with a long lingering fine memory

“Medium copper chestnut color. Sweet caramel and harvest fruit aromas. A round, supple entry leads to a dryish, light-to medium body with perfumy fruit and dry oaky spice. Finishes with a dry, spicy fade, fuel-like elements, and modest heat. A nice VS Cognac with some interesting character.” The Beverage Testing Institute

“VSOP stands for Very Superior Old Pale. This cognac is made from wines from two regions in the Champagne region of France (grande champagne and petite champagne)- thus, the "fine champagne” on the bottle) and is aged eight to twelve years. It is gold-caramel colored, and when nosed has hints of oak, cinnamon, and an alcohol ester that can water the eyes. Drink it in and you will taste oak and then a nutty finish. It is a little hot going down, and if swished about the mouth will prick the tongue. (Rating ***1/4)" Alcohol Reviews.com

"It is, as the XO denotes, Extra Old, having been aged 20-35 years. This Cognac comes in a magnificent bottle, flat and looking like a combination of an upside-down leaf, a tear drop, and a perfume bottle. Sniff the XO and you won’t encounter any prickly alcohol esters. Courvoisier XO noses and tastes of caramel, chocolate, nuts, oak, and orange. It slides down your throat as smoothly as water. Delamain Pale & Dry is blended from cognacs of an average age of 25 years. Transparent, pale gold in color, it is marked by a superb delicacy and refinement. “…it’s more than a comfort to know that Delamain Pale & Dry remains the benchmark XO that I first perceived it to be. The fact that it’s priced at less than $100 is remarkable.” Paul Pacult’s Spirit Journal.
