A fruit-driven wine with aromas of apple and peach mingled with hints of orange blossom leading to a palate of fruity character. Lively and crisp, the wine also displays a creamy texture, balance and pleasing length.

The scent of white flowers and fresh citrus fruits – lemons, limes and grapefruit – all temptingly mingled with the savoury complexity of toasted nuts and oatmeal. The silky palate shows lively citrus flavours and seamlessly integrated spicy French oak. Cloudy Bay Chardonnay 2006 depicts the combination of natural yeast fermentation and vibrant Marlborough fruit in a wine that will age gracefully over the next five to seven years.

The aromas are of apples, ripe lemon, hazelnuts and toasty vanilla, the palate is rich and lush, with sweet fruit note along with toasty oak notes. The finish is long and buttery with a hint of crisp citrus.
A chardonnay of this quality and at this price should scare the heck out of the Napa Valley Gang.
