This is a seleiction from the Berg and Terassenweingarten vineyards between the villages of Durnstein and Wnterloiben. The soil is chalky with great minerality. Only the best grapes are used.

As with all good Gruners (and this is a very fine one from one of the top producers)look for a fresh, bright slightly vegetal-scented wine with notes of flowers and white pepper accenting the green berry fruits. Some lime and peach on the nose.

This Gruner Veltliner holds to tradition being an elegant classic Veltliner, peppery and spicy with lively fruit flavors and hints of peach and some green lime. Delicious mouthful.

Crisp and clean with floral aromas of apple and lime with a tense minerality. Sharply focused with some earthy notes.

According to importer Terry Theise: “This has some pretty schnoz! The palate is racy and dry and zippy showing lime, spearmint, chartreuse and apricot; tingly focus and ten-HUT! posture.”

The medium-bodied 2009 Gruner Veltliner Langenloiser Kamptaler Terrassen gives up lovely spice and pepper aromas. The wine is oily-textured and medium-bodied. Opulent wine with tea, pear, and melon (honeydew?) flavors. Pretty broad and thick yet well-ballanced.

A traditional solid everyday classic Gruner with some nice white pepper and spice with lively fruit flavors and hints of peach and some green lime. For a full liter, this is a great price.
