$13.95 gets you a quite sophisticated blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and a little Petit Verdot. Along with cassis, there are hints of mint, mocha and ripe tobacco. A very nice fruit-foward effort.

Here is a darkly colored, ripe and serious blend of Cabernet and Cabernet Franc from the Bordeaux satellite region of Cotes de Castillon, which produces exceptional wine and great values. This wine drinks well now or can be cellared for several years.

This value Bordeaux hails from an estate in the Entre-deux-Mers area and is a blend of 66% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon. The aromas are of blackberries and raspberries along with a touch of black currants, it is medium-bodied with fine balance and structure.

This treasure from Fronsac comes from an estate steeped in history. Château de la Rivière was built in 1553 by Gaston de l’Isle, the mayor of Bordeaux, and today, it is the largest estate in Fronsac.
