The black cherry, plum, and mineral-scented 1999 Bahans Haut Brion…has medium body, excellent purity, good texture, and firm tannin.
The dark ruby/purple-colored, deep, rich, medium-bodied 2000 Bahans Haut-Brion exhibits scents of graphite, black cherry liqueur, cassis, and minerals. Has a lot in common with its bigger sibling, displaying impressive volume, depth, and complexity.
The 2001 Bahans-Haut-Brion exhibits a dark plum/ruby color as well as a sweet nose of cedar, earth, and red and black currants. Medium-bodied, with a supple texture, fine purity, and admirable length.
A dark ruby color is followed by earthy, smoky, cherry, mulberry, and currant aromas in this light to medium-bodied 2002 Bahans.
Markedly open and ripe, the 2003 Bahans Haut-Brion offers up notes of plums, figs, and black currants in a chewy, fleshy style….
The estate’s second wine, the 2004 Bahans-Haut-Brion, possesses a similar character, but is lighter and softer than the Haut Brion, with notes of red and black currants, plum, and earth.
